Finally! A number to call for iTunes support

iTunesSlate magazine has finally tracked down a number you can call to speak to a real live person at iTunes. It took them a year to find it. Such is the arrogance of Apple. And since it's a 1-800 number you can't call it from outside the USA. These guys are unbelievable.

1.) Telephone the following number: 800-275-2273. This is the Apple Care Service and Support Line, but only in the USA and Canada. The rest of the world can go to hell.
2.) When you hear the recorded greeting, enter 70. The recording will very likely reject that entry at first. If so, try again.
3.) When you're prompted to say the product that you need tech support for, say "iTunes."
4.) When you're prompted to say what type of computer you're using, say "a Windows machine" or "Macintosh."
5.) When you're prompted to say whether you're calling on behalf of a school, answer "yes" or "no."
6.) This will get you a live person. Please note: You will need to state the serial number of your iPod before you can proceed.

Oh, my God. Never mind that you have to provide the serial number of your device-that is merely so that they can tell you that your device is no longer under warranty, so they must charge you $30 to ask a question. (Actually, you can ask a question, you just can't get it answered!)I can not believe the rip off that itunes is. I purchased TV shows LAST week, and now that they won't play, I can't get any help with it unless I pay $30!

I, too, was told by the person I finally spoke with after waiting five minutes, that my free time period for getting answers to my questions was over. If I wanted to pay for an extended warranty, he would answer my questions. Why oh why did I let myself be seduced by Apple again? They screwed me over once before, why didn't I learn?

Apple sucks!. I was having a problem logging into iTunes so i called the 800 number. They told me they could not help me and kept trying to get me to pay for a hardware support that i didn't need. I kept telling the rep who was obviously in another country that my hardware was fine "theres nothing wrong with my phone" I just can't sign in! she just kept repeating that i needed to pay to have their problem fixed. ITS NOT MY FAULT I CANT LOG IN! UGHHHH. I AM SO FRUSTRATED WITH THEM!. Afterward they told me i had to go to apple.com to get free help. "Free help" I didn't do anything but try to log into my account. RIDICULOUS! I also bought into the apple hype. Never again.
