This has to be the stupidest badge in the history of mankind. I think it is probably the closest thing you can find in modern society to the "mark of the beast".

You're not going to give a reason? Seems like you have nothing to write about and just stuck something out there quick, and it makes no sense.
Give a reason? For what? Its obvious stupidity?
THINK about it: you're a LIFE member of an organisation that promotes the use of instruments of DEATH.
The mark of the beast thing is a bit more obscure: but have a look at the movie "Bowling for Columbine" and then look at the destruction caused by firearms around the world, and then ask yourself if the NRA is any less evil than the arms manufacturers.
Instrument of death? OK....during WWII in German hands...yes it was....ask the Holocaust Jews....in the hands of the American soldier.....instrument of life.....again...ask the Holocaust survivors.
Ask all the dead Iraqis, Vietnamese, Afgans, Pakistanis, Haitans, about those American "instruments of life".
Also, ask all the dead "friendly fire" Americans about those "instruments of life".
The USA is responsible for more dead people in the 20th and 21st Centuries than anyone else on the planet. Either by killing them directly, or by supplying arms to those who did.
