I strongly suggest you backup all the data on the drive before you lose it.Donn Edwardshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07954994300802439618noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19298483.post-52846892023633634242021-06-11T19:16:40.624+02:002021-06-11T19:16:40.624+02:00While this seem nice, in practice DiskFresh froze ...While this seem nice, in practice DiskFresh froze (more like hanging) on a RAW external drive with exclusive access at about 80% completion for a day. Trying to stop the refreshing process yields no result and the program does not want to close until the process is stopped so it's a stalemate and I'm afraid of terminating the program any other way.Szaszhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04425268398114176340noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19298483.post-21240829351456456132014-11-07T16:42:07.486+02:002014-11-07T16:42:07.486+02:00I wish I had a good answer. If you have access to the drives in the NAS, remove each one separately and run Spinrite on them.

In my case, I can't open the NAS, so there isn't much I can do, other than try to find instructions for how to open the box.

FWIW it is fine to use Spinrite on the SSSD, but only on level 1 or 2.Donn Edwardshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07954994300802439618noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19298483.post-24571029191507537762014-11-07T11:37:35.370+02:002014-11-07T11:37:35.370+02:00Thanks for the heads-up on Diskfresh.
